George Evans - Webuild civil engineering Scholarship program recipient 2024
Webuild has been a proud partner of the University of Melbourne since 2020, supporting high-achieving students pursuing engineering studies, this year through the Webuild Civil Engineering Scholarship Program.
One of this year’s scholarship recipients is George Evans, who is currently undertaking a Master of Civil Engineering.

“This scholarship will help me as I am currently in my final year of the Master of Engineering (Civil), where I am undertaking five units in each semester.
“With this scholarship I will be able to prioritise additional hours to complete my degree strongly in Semester Two.
“I have a particular interest in the renewable industry and how civil engineering can integrate into this industry in a range of sub industries such as grid level energy infrastructure to the optimisation of new housing developments. I have been fortunate to receive exposure to the industry during my summer internships.
“I would like to express my gratitude for being awarded the 2024 Webuild Civil Engineering Scholarship. I am incredibly grateful to be a recipient and I thank you for your confidence and investment in my future.”
